The raw material prior to manufacture should be kiln dried to within the 8-12% moisture content range
to ensure stability through the successive manufacturing processes.
3) Surface finish: Raw wood moulding profile + Thin gesso coat + water base primer (can be water proof)
Coating application would be applied equally on all edges and has a strong adhesion to the
wood substrate throug testing. No visible defects like patching,open finger joints,bleed through,etc
after being coated/primed. Mouldings would stay straight and not have excessive bow or spring
4) Specification:Accept customized size and profiles
Finger jointing is a popular process used for producing wood moldings, using mechanical
(and/or automated)equipment to produce long length mouldings and have all the defects removed.
2.Manufacturing process
1) The timber logs are cut into boards.
2) then kiln dried to within 10-12% moisture range to ensure stability through the successive manufacturing processes.
3) After KD,the boards should stay in the warehouse for more than 20 days(Note that diffreent size board require different days),to keep the material more stable and to make moisture content more uniform.It is important.
4) The defects on the board will be cut before finger jointed.The length of moulding can be finger jonted up to 17ft,or as customized.After that,the finger jointed board would be through rough sanding,then make into shape(as customers' drawings) by the molding machine.
5) The surface finished of our pine products have two coat primer,the primer is a mixture containing glue and calcium carbonate.Coating application would be applied equally on all edges have a strong adhesion to the wood substrate.If the trim board is used for External construction applications,primer should be external glue,and the price is a little higher than Interior using.If it's used for interior decoration,the primer can be interior glue.
6) Each pcs products will be inspected by our workers.Then arrange the packing.
Quality standards
1. All dimensions should be within the dimensional tolerances as specified on the order
2. Mouldings would stay straight and not have excessive bow or spring.
3. Moisture content must be accurately tested with an electronic moisture meter.
4. Coating application would be applied equally on all edges and has a strong adhesion
to the wood substrate throug testing .No visible defects like patching,open finger joints,
bleed through,etc,after being coated/primed.
