1. When purchasing MDF furniture, check the clearance of the movable parts of the furniture. For example, the gap between the door and the drawer should be balanced, and the door and the drawer should be opened and closed smoothly and without noise. In addition, it is necessary to see whether the surface coating of the hardware accessories is peeling off.
2. It is necessary to consider whether the color of the MDF furniture and the interior walls and floors is coordinated and whether it meets the actual needs.
3. Check the quality of the paint on the surface of the furniture, observe whether the paint has streaks, whether the paint at the corners is too thick, whether there are cracks or bubbles, etc.
4. According to the national standard, MDF can be divided into E0, E1 and E2 according to its free formaldehyde content. E2-grade formaldehyde emission is ≤5mg/L; E1-grade formaldehyde emission is ≤1.5mg/L, which can be directly used for interior decoration; E0-grade formaldehyde emission is ≤0.5mg/L. When consumers buy MDF, they should try to buy products with low formaldehyde emission, which are safer.
5. There should be no obvious particles on the surface of the MDF with good surface cleanliness. The particles are caused by impurities brought into the pressing process, which not only affects the appearance, but also makes the paint film easy to peel off.
