The Production Technology Raw Material Of Fibreboard
Feb 24, 2020
The basic units that make up a fiberboard are separated wood fibers or fiber bundles. The raw materials for fiber production are mainly from forest cutting residues, such as branches, shoots, small-diameter timber, etc .; and wood processing residues, such as board edges, wood shavings, sawdust, and so on. In addition, waste from chemical processing of forest products (such as tannin and hydrolyzed residues) and other plant stems can be used to make fibers. Coniferous wood has high fiber content, and the fiber length is 30-50% longer than that of broadleaf wood. If hardwood is used, it must be treated first: mixed hardwood and pulp can be used for pulping, or wood chips can be treated chemically, and hot water and steam can also be used. Before the fiber separation, the raw material is cut into 20-30 mm thick, 3-5 mm thick, and 15-25 mm wide slices using a chipper. The wood chip is too large, it is difficult to soften or unevenly soften, and the fiber separation is small during the pre-heat treatment and refining process; if the wood chip is too short, the proportion of fibers that are cut is large, and the interweaving performance is poor, resulting in a decrease in fiberboard strength. The cut wood chips are sent to the bin after screening, re-crushing, water washing and other processes for fiber separation.
